In early 2024 a group of people came together and Cáirde Cnoc Bríde was born. The idea was simple: our village, our community, our parish needed better facilities and amenities. Knockbridge needs more facilities for our youth and elderly alike and most importantly requires more than one football field.

Over 150 members of the community shared our vision and have became contributors to help our dream become a reality. From New York to San Diego, Sydney to Perth and dotted all across our own island the donations started to flow in. Cáirde Cnoc Bríde celebrated its one year anniversary in July 2025 and over €40,000 has been raised so far!

Some of our adult teams have already started to use the new field for training. Pictured is our Senior Ladies and Men’s team at the very first session that took place. A truly historic day in the clubs history. Unfortunately the field is not suitable for underage training at the moment due to the lack of facilities.

Planning Permission Progress
Planning permission progress has been slow but we assure you that progress is being made. We are actively working in the background with the Louth County Council planning and roads divisions and local councillors to get the necessary buy in. ECC Group have been appointed for design, engineering and consultancy services and our aim is to submit a formal planning application before the end of the year.
